I haven't found any details regarding date, time, place... but according to a post published on Facebook 8hrs ago a couple of British volunteers died.
Could be a hoax or could be Vietnam too...

Confirmed.
According to preliminary reports in the morning of January 2 2017 (!) the bodies of a British couple, a husband and wife, were found dead by hanging in a guest house situated in Group 1, Village 3, Sangkat 2, Sihanoukville.
It's not clear whether they were murdered or committed suicide; investigators are still waiting for the forensics results.

Behind EIS School and Maybank; for what it's worth, the majority of Khmer netizens believe that they were murdered.

The victims have been identified as Imogen and Robert Goldie-Wells, both are British citizens.
A suicide note has been found; they reportedly suffered from mental problems and were disappointed in the NHS (National Health Service) which "had constantly let them down". (I'll refrain from posting the complete personal document)

Both reportedly died on December 31st 2016; on the 28th birthday of the female victim.
Imogen was born in Camberwell. Robert was born in Sunderland on August 6 1980.
The police received the information about the incident from the owner of the (guest) house, identified as Hao Sokh, on January 1 2017 around 5PM.
Both victims checked in on December 2 2016.
Such a tragic story to end 2016 and start 2017.

A prosecutor of the Provincial Court led the forensics examinations of both corpses.
It has been concluded that both victims died of suicide by hanging.
Police experts handed over the bodies to Intraco (a freight forwarder in Cambodia) in order to forward them to Phnom Penh to be kept at the Russian Hospital as decided by the embassy; not following the last wish of the victims. (not my words but the newspaper's words)
